Kohk & Sahk was born out of a need for the founders, Lao Americans, to have readily available the distinct cuisine indigenous to their home country. Like many immigrants from Laos who settled in the U.S. in the 1970’s, the founders’ parents brought with them generations of family recipes infused with a rich culture and history. They aspire to make the intense aromas and flavors they relished growing up in their homes and small Lao communities accessible everywhere.
